Principal's Message
Mrs. Stoural has been principal at James Monroe Elementary School since the 2018-2019 school year. She started her educational career in the year 2000 as a High School Science teacher. Since then she has taught Science and Mathematics at both the High School and Middle School levels and been the Science Department Chair at Comstock Middle School. Mrs. Stoural has a passion for education and educational leadership. She holds a Master of Science in Applied School Leadership as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Minors in Chemistry and Mathematics.
Mrs. Stoural is an alumni of Santa Rosa City Schools and attended both Santa Rosa Junior High and Santa Rosa High School. She is the daughter of an educator who specialized in educating students who's first language was other than English at the High School and Junior College Level. She has a husband who works for the County of Sonoma and a son who attends Montgomery High School
Mrs. Stoural has a deep commitment to removing barriers to student success and in educating the whole child. She works collaboratively with the educational team at Monroe to strategize and plan innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
Mrs. Stoural is a proud member of the Griffin family and finds great joy in working with the students, families, teachers and greater school community.
